Every year the Associazione Italiana per lo Studio del Fegato (A.I.S.F.), together with a group of Pharmaceutical Companies, assigns two annual Scholarships of € 20,000 each, before withholding taxes, to Italian and foreign graduates in medicine and surgery, biology, pharmacy, agricultural science or biotechnologies under 35 years of age who wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of basic or clinical research on liver diseases. The Scholarship has a duration of one year and cannot be renewed.
Candidates’ applications shall be examined by a special Selection Committee composed of members of the A.I.S.F. Co-ordinating Committee. The winners are always announced during the A.I.S.F. Monothematic Conference; within the year after the awarding, the two candidates awarded the Scholarships shall be required to provide the A.I.S.F. Co-ordinating Committee with a short report on their scientific activities, to be presented during the Annual General Meeting of the Association.
